This tool will help you solve Standard, X or Chaos sudoku puzzles from your local newspaper or sudoku puzzle magazines.
Standard sudoku rules: you have to put the digits 1-9 in every row, column and 3x3 box.
X sudoku rules: standard sudoku rules apply. Additionally, marked diagonals have to contain the digits 1-9.
Chaos sudoku rules: you have to put the digits 1-9 in every row, column and 9-cell region.
Simply put the digits in by selecting the cells (right click the deselect them) and enter a number either from your physical keyboard or the given digital numpad.
To create a Chaos sudoku, select 9 cells you want to combine into a region then hit "Set Region". After creating 8 regions the 9th region will automatically be created.
When you're ready, hit "Start" and good luck!
You have 3 different pencil modes for your marks:
- Main, which is the finalized number in the grid
- Sub, which is usually used for marking digits that can go in that cell
- Corner, which is usually used for marking where a certain digit can go in a region/box
To switch between pencil modes, hit "Tab" or click the button next to the virtual numpad.
Once you're done, hit "Check" so you can see if you've got it right. Be careful, the timer will only stop if every digit is correct.
The puzzles in the screenshots are only examples and do not exhaust the list of solvable puzzles with the tool.
